Residential Village for Displaced Persons

Hasene-City (Construction of Housing for Displaced and Needy Families in Yemen) – 2021:

Together for Children Organization, in cooperation with the Hasene International Organization, continued the development of Hasene-City, a residential village project in the Ma’rib governorate of Yemen. The project includes 100 housing units, each approximately 50 m² in size, consisting of two rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a corridor.

In addition, the project includes a prayer facility, a kindergarten, a children’s playground, a school, a health center, a nonprofit bakery, a soup kitchen, and a large water tank.

The project can accommodate 100 families with children, and additional families in the surrounding area also benefit from the project’s facilities.

Groundbreaking Ceremony for a Residential Village / Hasene-City – Yemen – 2021:

The Organization “Together for Children Organization” laid the foundation stone for the development project Hasene-City, a residential city for internally displaced families with their children in Yemen.

On the morning of February 14, 2021, Mr. Ing. Khaled Hasan Al-Afif, Chairman of the German relief organization Together for Children Organization, together with Mr. Khaled Al-Shajina, Deputy Director of the Operational Unit in the Yemeni province of Ma’rib, and Mr. Adel Bin Selem, Chairman of the Al-Badyh Foundation in Yemen, laid the foundation stone for the Hasene-City development project.

The project is under the patronage of the Governor of Ma’rib Province, Major General Sultan Al-Aradah. It is financed by the German organization Hasene International e.V., in cooperation with Together for Children Organization and under its supervision. The project is implemented by the Al-Badyh Foundation in Yemen.

The project includes 100 housing units, each consisting of two rooms, a kitchen, and a toilet. In addition, the project features a health center, a school, and a children’s playground. The project benefits more than 610 individuals from internally displaced families in the Ma’rib province of Yemen.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Ing. Khaled Hasan Al-Afif and Mr. Adel Bin Selem reviewed the work plan for the project, which is scheduled to be completed in 2021.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from a number of civil society organizations.
