The organization is named "Together for Children Organization" (abbreviated ZKN). Its headquarters are in Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
The organization pursues exclusively and directly charitable or benevolent purposes within the meaning of the section "Tax-privileged purposes" of the German Fiscal Code.
Within its financial means, the organization aims to contribute to alleviating the hardship and suffering of people in need, especially children.
The organization supports children and people in need worldwide, particularly in developing and emerging countries, as well as in war zones and crisis areas. The organization is religiously and politically neutral. Its support is not limited to specific countries or religious denominations.
The purpose of the organization is to help children in need, their families, and other people in distress so that they can overcome their difficult circumstances and improve their living conditions. The organization largely follows the principle of "helping people to help themselves."
The organization achieves this purpose, for example, through the following measures and projects:
1- Measures and projects to combat poverty and alleviate famine.
2- Measures and projects to provide necessary medical care and support, as well as the establishment and equipping of health facilities.
3- Sponsorship programs for orphans. In addition, measures and projects are implemented to protect children from violence, exploitation, abuse, and armed conflict, and to promote their physical and intellectual development.
4- Measures and projects to combat illiteracy and to promote schooling, vocational training, and continuing education so that people have the necessary knowledge and skills for the job market.
5- Promotion and implementation of sustainable development projects so that poor and needy people can provide for themselves and their children in the long term. In this context, small manufacturing businesses and craft trades are given particular support. The organization's projects and initiatives are intended to promote development cooperation with the target countries.
6- Implementation of recreational and leisure activities to help children cope with traumatic situations (e.g., as a result of natural disasters and/or experiences of violence) and to ensure a happy and carefree childhood. According to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, children have the right to rest and leisure, to play and age-appropriate active recreation, and to free participation in cultural and artistic life. The physical and intellectual participation of children is promoted and strengthened.
7- Organizing and implementing humanitarian aid operations for children and their families, as well as other people in need who are dependent on the help of others due to their physical, mental, or emotional condition, or their economic circumstances.
8- Immediate aid in disaster situations by providing shelter, clothing, food, drinking water, and other essential items. Furthermore, in other humanitarian cases, aid projects are carried out for displaced persons, the homeless, and other people in need to alleviate their suffering and enable them to live a life of dignity.
9- Consultation and support for relevant institutions and organizations, as well as corresponding cooperation for the implementation of aid and development projects and for promoting the welfare of children, their families, and other people in need.
10- Other urgent cases of humanitarian aid on a case-by-case basis.
Tax exemption:
According to the ruling of the Bonn-Innenstadt tax office dated March 26, 2019, tax number 205/5771/1428, the organization "Zusammen für Kinder in Not" (Together for Children Organization) is exempt from corporation tax due to its particularly charitable and non-profit purposes pursuant to Section 52 Paragraph 2 Sentence 1 of the German Fiscal Code (AO).
