Orphan Sponsorships

The Organization “Together for Children Organization” wishes, within its material capabilities, to contribute to alleviating the hardship and suffering of people in need—especially children—through sponsorship projects (Orphan Sponsorship, Poor Family Sponsorship, and Education Sponsorship).

Orphan Sponsorship:

The number of orphaned and vulnerable children in countries affected by war and conflict is increasing significantly, such as in Yemen, which has been suffering from war and blockade for several years.

There, the number of orphaned children has multiplied. These children live under extremely poor conditions. Many of them were forced to drop out of school early and look for any type of work to support their remaining family members after the death of the father.

Through its orphan sponsorship project, the Organization “Together for Children” builds bridges between interested sponsors and orphaned children in need, so that these children can receive targeted and personal support and their suffering can be alleviated. Sponsorships can be arranged for periods ranging from several months to several years.

Note: Interested sponsors are kindly requested to contact the Organization in order to select an orphaned child after reviewing the relevant documents.

Support for Orphanages with Kitchen Equipment in Yemen 2023:

In July 2023, the orphanage in Taiz and the orphanage in Ibb, Yemen, were supported with kitchen equipment. The project included several essential tools, devices, and materials. Many orphaned children in these homes will benefit from the project.

Sponsorships for Orphaned Children in Yemen 2023

In 2023, a total of 592 orphaned children in Yemen were supported. This project was implemented across several governorates of the Republic of Yemen, including Sana’a, Taiz, Al-Hudaydah, Ibb, and Dhamar. This financial assistance to the families of orphaned children aims to alleviate suffering and secure basic livelihoods, especially after the loss of the family’s primary breadwinner. In the shadow of war and conflict, the number of orphaned children continues to rise, and life becomes increasingly difficult.

Orphan Sponsorship – 2022:

In 2022, Together for Children in Need supported 520 orphaned children in Yemen through its sponsorship projects.

Distribution of Food Baskets for Orphaned Children in Yemen 2023:

In April 2023, 480 food baskets were distributed to families of orphaned children in Yemen. The distribution covered several cities, including Ibb, Taiz, Al-Hudaydah, Dhamar, Sana’a, and surrounding rural areas.

Each food basket contains 10–25 kg of flour, 5–10 kg of rice, 5–10 kg of sugar, 1.5–2 liters of oil, 1–2 kg of dates, and a carton that includes tomato sauce or spaghetti, canned beans, and soup/pudding.

Food Baskets for Orphaned Children – 2022:

In Yemen, food baskets were distributed to all orphaned children registered with the Organization.

Festive Clothing for Needy and Orphaned Children in Yemen 2023:

In April 2023, festive clothing was distributed to needy children and orphans in several governorates in Yemen, including Sana’a, Taiz, Ibb, Al-Hudaydah, and Dhamar. A total of 750 children benefited from the project.

Festive Clothing for Orphaned Children – 2022:

In Yemen, festive clothing was distributed to all orphaned children registered with the Organization.

A Recreational Trip – Yemen 2024:

In the governorate of Dhamar in the Republic of Yemen, a trip to a play and entertainment park was organized on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr 2024. Many orphaned and needy children participated in the trip.
